New Movement Construct
Gold is too soft to use as a case for the watch. A new cobalt alloy is used instead. The cobalt alloy, which is highly resistant and 2.3 times stronger that gold, is also much more difficult to machine. The conventional setup is now inverted, so that the balance wheel sits beneath the hairspring. Instead, a free-sprung balance with four adjustable weights is used.
